Privacy policy

Draft, pending counsel review. This is a placeholder outline, not a finished policy. It must be replaced before the site is publicly reachable, and it must cover GLBA obligations that attach to bank data obtained through Plaid.

What we collect

Information you submit on the form (name, business, phone, email, state, industry, revenue range, funding need, time in business, and EIN if provided). If you choose to strengthen your file: date of birth, SSN, identity verification results, and read-only bank transaction data through Plaid. Usage data through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Web Analytics. The site’s fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.

How we use it

To build a funding file and share it with funding partners who may contact you; to verify identity and business existence; to improve the site.

Who we share it with

Funding partners, identity and bank-data vendors, and service providers who run the site. We do not sell information for purposes unrelated to business funding.

Documents you add to your data room

If you sign in to your data room, you can add documents a funding partner may ask for, such as a government ID, bank statements, a voided cheque, formation documents, tax returns and financial statements. We use them to prepare your file and to show you what partners usually ask for.

Who sees them. Addy staff who prepare your file, and the funding partners we send your file to. When we send your file, those partners receive copies of the documents we include. Service providers who store files or send email for us can process them only to provide that service.

How they are kept. Files are encrypted before they are stored. Access by our staff is logged.

Removing a document. You can remove a document at any time. We delete the file when you do, and we stop including it in anything we send from that moment. We keep a record that it existed, when it was added and removed, and what it was sent in. Copies a partner already received are held under that partner’s own policy.

How long we keep them. We keep your documents while your file is active. We delete them two years after your file was last used, or within 30 days after you email us to close your file, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. We keep records of your consent and of what we sent to whom for seven years.

Other people’s information. If you give us details about another owner of the business, you confirm you are authorised to share them for this purpose.
